                                                                       NDPHR


National Democratic Party for Human Rights (NDPHR) is a party representing Rohingya Arakanese people that received overwhelming support of Rohingya Arakanese people of Northern Arakan in 1990s multi-party election. NDPHR was the fifth most seats winner in Burma.

NDPHR was unlawfully banned for its opposition notification (1/90) of the State Law and Order Restoration Council (SLORC). As a result, party’s were asked to leaders went into exile in order to continue to carry out responsibilities assigned by Rohingya Arakanese people with firm dedication and formed the National Democratic Party for Human Rights (exile) in 2003 at New York City of the United States of America (USA).

NDPHR(exile) branch was taken initiative in 2003 and founded in 2004 by U.S. based Rohingya leader U Maung Sein @ Mohiuddin Yusof.  It has formed its branches in Bangladesh, Danmark, France, and a regional office in Malaysia. Under the guidance of party’s policy and that of leaders, Refugee and Humanitarian Sub-committee was established in the past years.
In Malaysia it has been established since on the day of International Human Rights Day- 10 Dec 2006.

Aims and Objectives:
  1. To help implement aims and objectives of its mother party NDPHR.
  2. To strengthen national and international solidarity with a view to enhancing new wave of strategy to develop highly qualified leaders among the Rohingya Arakanese young generation for the future Arakan.
  3. To work in close cooperation with all level of society including government, non-government agencies and civil society groups for the interest of peace and stability in the Burma.
  4. To promote mutual trust and understating in order to make awareness among Rohingya Arakanese expatriates.
  5. To mobilize the people on the real causes of Arakan and its people.
